When driving through Crescent City, I suggest a stop at Ocean World.
Ocean World has a gift shop filled with interesting items to delight everyone in your family or group.
On a recent visit, my daughter purchased earing's, my husband bought some kind of strange gummy rubber type balls that he throws to his students in his classroom (they love it), and a souvenir for our granddaughter.

In addition to the gift shop, Ocean World offers guided tours that include a Sea Lion show, petting sharks, touching starfish and other sea life in their tide pool tank...
